First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looked at whether back massage and Lamaze breathing exercises can help first-time mothers manage labor pain and anxiety. 90 pregnant women in Pakistan were split into two groups: one received the massage and breathing techniques plus standard care, the other got standard care alone. The goal was to see if these simple, drug-free methods could make labor less painful and stressful.
