First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a program that combines marching in place with simple cognitive tasks (like memory or attention games) can improve physical abilities, thinking skills, and heart health in older adults with type 2 diabetes. Sixty participants aged 60-79 were randomly assigned to either the exercise-plus-cognitive group or a usual-care group. The goal was to find a safe, practical way to help manage diabetes-related health issues.
