Summary
This study looks at whether maple syrup, a natural carbohydrate source, can improve cycling performance in trained male cyclists. Thirty-two participants will test four different drinks (a placebo and three with varying amounts of maple syrup) during 20-kilometer time trials. Researchers will measure how fast they finish, how their body uses energy, and any stomach discomfort. The goal is to see if maple syrup is a good option for athletes during long exercise.
