First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether a manuka honey mouthwash can improve gum health in people with kidney failure who are on dialysis. Gum disease is very common in these patients and can lead to tooth loss and inflammation. The trial will compare the honey rinse against standard care in 150 adults, measuring gum attachment and bleeding over time.
