First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study will test whether manual acupuncture can safely reduce the bothersome effects of acute tinnitus (ringing in the ears) that has lasted less than 6 months. Researchers will enroll 180 adults aged 18 to 65 who have not used tinnitus medication recently. The main goal is to see if acupuncture improves tinnitus-related function, emotion, and severity compared to no treatment.
