Art therapy eases chemo fears: mandala painting helps kids and parents cope
NCT ID NCT07363005
First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a simple art activity—parent-child mandala painting—could help children with cancer and their parents feel less pain, fear, and stress during chemotherapy. Over two weeks, 108 families either did six 30-minute painting sessions plus usual care, or just usual care. The goal was to see if this creative, non-drug approach could improve emotional well-being for both kids and their caregivers.
