Scientists test new shot to block recurring malaria

Summary
This study is testing a new vaccine designed to protect people from getting malaria caused by the Plasmodium vivax parasite. Seventy-two healthy adults in Colombia will receive either the experimental vaccine or a placebo shot. To see if the vaccine works, participants will later be exposed to malaria-carrying mosquitoes in a carefully controlled medical setting.
