Double defense: testing vaccine and bed nets together against malaria
NCT ID NCT04327440
Summary
This study tested how well two malaria prevention tools work together: the RTS,S malaria vaccine and a new type of insecticide-treated bed net. Researchers followed nearly 1,700 children in Malawi for six months to see if using both tools provided better protection than using either one alone. The goal was to find the most effective combination to reduce malaria infections in communities.
