First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated Apr 26, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at whether combining the RTS,S malaria vaccine with special insecticide-treated bed nets (PBO nets) can better prevent malaria infection and stop its spread. Researchers followed over 1,600 children and their families in Malawi to measure infection rates and mosquito numbers. The goal was to understand how these two tools work together, not to test a new cure or treatment.
