Double defense: vaccine and super nets join forces against malaria

NCT ID NCT04327440

Summary

This study tested how well two new malaria prevention tools work together in Malawi. Researchers followed nearly 1,700 children to see if using a new malaria vaccine (RTS,S) and a more effective type of insecticide-treated bed net (PBO nets) at the same time was better at stopping malaria infections than using either tool alone. The goal was to find the best combination to protect children from getting malaria.
