Could treating school kids stop malaria for everyone?
NCT ID NCT07246525
Summary
This study is testing if giving preventive malaria medicine to school children every two months can reduce malaria for everyone in surrounding communities. It will involve about 4,800 children in areas with high malaria rates in Africa. Researchers believe treating children, who often carry the malaria parasite without severe symptoms, could be a key to lowering overall transmission.
