Magnets in surgery: new tool tested for Women's health procedures
NCT ID NCT06743256
Summary
This study tested whether a magnetic surgical system is safe and practical for use during laparoscopic gynecological surgeries. Researchers enrolled 12 women scheduled for elective procedures to see if the magnetic system could reduce the number of surgical ports needed. The study was terminated early and focused on measuring safety outcomes and whether the system provided adequate tissue retraction during surgery.
