Magnetic tracer trial aims to sharpen stomach cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT05038098

Summary

This early study is testing the safety and feasibility of a new magnetic tracer, called FerroTrace, used alongside a fluorescent dye. The goal is to help surgeons more accurately identify the first lymph nodes that stomach cancer is likely to spread to during removal surgery. Researchers will test if injecting the tracer before or during surgery works best and is safe for patients.
