Could a simple mineral be key to better back pain relief?
NCT ID NCT06551792
Summary
This study looked back at medical records to see if having low magnesium levels affects how well a common steroid injection works for back pain caused by a herniated disc. Researchers reviewed data from 118 people who received the injection, checking their magnesium levels before treatment and tracking their pain and function for three months afterward. The goal was to understand if magnesium deficiency might be a factor doctors should consider when planning this type of pain treatment.
