First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether a machine learning tool can accurately detect air leaks in ventilators used by people with chronic respiratory failure. Researchers first trained the tool on lab simulations and 10 patients, then tested it on another 10 patients. The goal is to see if the tool can spot leaks as well as standard sleep studies.
