New transplant strategy aims to stop lymphoma from spreading to the brain

NCT ID NCT06687772

Summary

This study is testing whether a specific type of stem cell transplant can prevent lymphoma from spreading to the brain and spinal cord in high-risk patients. It involves 36 adults with a type of aggressive lymphoma who are in their first remission but are at high risk for the cancer to come back in the central nervous system. The main goal is to see if using a chemotherapy drug combination that better penetrates the brain during the transplant is safe and feasible for these patients.
