New surgery could stop debilitating swelling for breast cancer patients

NCT ID NCT05366699

Summary

This study is testing if a surgical procedure called LYMPHA, performed during breast cancer surgery, can prevent a painful and chronic side effect called lymphedema. Lymphedema causes arm swelling and discomfort after lymph node removal. Researchers will compare outcomes in 80 patients to see if this procedure reduces the risk of developing this condition and improves quality of life.
