First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests a surgical procedure called vascularized lymph node transfer to lower the risk of lymphedema (arm swelling) in breast cancer patients having breast reconstruction. About 30 women who have already had mastectomy, lymph node removal, and radiation will receive this extra surgery. The goal is to see if replacing lost lymph nodes can prevent long-term swelling.
