Zapping the ear to fight Lyme's lingering misery

NCT ID NCT05776251

Summary

This study is testing whether a gentle electrical stimulation device worn on the ear can help people who still have symptoms like severe fatigue, pain, and brain fog after finishing antibiotic treatment for Lyme disease. The device, called taVNS, is non-invasive and aims to calm inflammation and regulate the nervous system. Researchers want to see if this approach is safe, tolerable, and feasible for patients who haven't found relief from standard treatments.
