Zapping the ear to fight lyme? new device trial offers hope for lingering symptoms
NCT ID NCT05776251
Summary
This study is testing whether a gentle electrical stimulation device worn on the ear can help reduce persistent symptoms like fatigue, pain, and brain fog in people who still feel sick after antibiotic treatment for Lyme disease. Researchers at Columbia University want to see if this non-drug approach is safe, tolerable, and practical for patients to use. The study will enroll 12 people to try the device and track their experience.
