Can a common anemia drug reverse heart damage in kidney patients?

Summary
This observational study will measure how often left ventricular hypertrophy (thickening of the heart muscle) occurs in people with chronic kidney disease. It will also test whether erythropoietin, a drug used to treat anemia, can reduce heart muscle thickness in anemic patients. About 100 adults with stable CKD stages 3-5 will be followed at Sohag University Hospital.
