Summary

This study tests a drug called luspatercept in 70 adults with a low-risk form of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) that includes ring sideroblasts. The goal is to see if the drug can reduce or eliminate the need for red blood cell transfusions. Participants receive the drug as an injection, and researchers track transfusion independence over several weeks.
