New wrist surgery aims to ease pain and restore motion

Summary

This study tests a surgery called lunocapitate fusion for people with wrist arthritis caused by an old, untreated scaphoid fracture (SNAC wrist). The surgery fuses two wrist bones to reduce pain and keep some movement. Researchers will follow 35 adults for 12 months to see how well the surgery works and if it is safe.
