Could a simple scan replace x-rays for spotting child pneumonia?
NCT ID NCT07331311
Summary
This study tested whether lung ultrasound is a good tool for diagnosing pneumonia in children, especially in areas with limited medical resources. Researchers compared ultrasound to the standard chest X-ray in 320 children suspected of having pneumonia. The goal was to see if ultrasound could accurately identify pneumonia cases without missing sick children.
