Could a simple scan replace X-Rays for spotting child pneumonia?
NCT ID NCT07331311
Summary
This study tested whether lung ultrasound is a good tool for diagnosing pneumonia in children, especially in areas with limited medical resources. Researchers compared ultrasound results to chest X-rays and a final expert diagnosis based on all available patient information. The goal was to see if ultrasound could help doctors accurately identify pneumonia without always needing an X-ray.
