First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked at 70 adults having surgery to see if a personalized ventilation method (lowest driving pressure) is better than standard protective ventilation at preventing lung collapse. Doctors used lung ultrasound right after surgery to check for collapsed areas. The goal was to find out which method keeps lungs healthier and might lead to shorter hospital stays.
