First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looked at 70 adults having surgery under general anesthesia to see if a personalized ventilation method (lowest driving pressure) works better than standard protective ventilation for keeping lungs open. After surgery, doctors used lung ultrasound to check for lung collapse (atelectasis). The goal was to find which method reduces lung problems and hospital stays.
