First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study compares three treatments for lung tumors: surgery, targeted radiation (SBRT), and a minimally invasive procedure called thermal ablation that uses heat or cold to destroy cancer cells. About 100 adults in Lithuania will be followed for two years to see which approach best controls the cancer while preserving breathing function and quality of life. The goal is to help doctors choose the best treatment for each patient.
