First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study collects information from people who receive donor lungs that were treated with a machine called the XVIVO Perfusion System. The machine keeps the lungs warm and breathing outside the body to check their health before transplant. The goal is to see how well the lungs work over time and monitor any serious side effects. About 315 transplant patients will take part, and the study will follow them for up to 5 years.
