Researchers test tailored breathing support for heavier patients
NCT ID NCT07359261
Summary
This study aims to see if a personalized method for setting ventilator pressure is practical to study in obese patients with severe breathing failure. It will enroll 30 patients who are on a breathing machine. Half will receive pressure settings guided by a small tube in their food pipe, while the other half receive standard care, to compare the approaches.
