First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study looked at how doctors in Latin America find and follow up on lung nodules—small spots on the lung that can be early signs of cancer. Researchers tracked 562 adults to see how long it took from spotting a nodule to getting a diagnosis and treatment. The goal is to find ways to speed up care and catch lung cancer earlier, when it's easier to treat.
