Blood test may replace risky biopsies for lung nodules

NCT ID NCT06838806

First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study is testing a new blood test called Nu.Q to see if it can accurately tell whether a lung nodule (a spot found on a CT scan) is cancer or not. Researchers will collect blood from 500 adults who have a lung nodule and need a biopsy or surgery. The goal is to see if the blood test works as well as a CT scan for diagnosis, and to track long-term health outcomes.
