First seen Nov 14, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to biopsy small lung nodules (≤2 cm) using a robotic system called Ion and a special 3D imaging machine called Cios Spin. The goal was to see how well the system could guide the biopsy needle into the nodule and accurately diagnose lung cancer. The study involved 155 adults and measured how often the needle hit the target and how accurate the diagnosis was.
