First seen Nov 14, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tested a new way to biopsy small lung nodules (≤2 cm) using a robotic system called Ion and a special 3D imaging machine called Cios Spin. The goal was to see how accurate and safe the biopsy procedure is. 155 adults took part, and the study measured how often the needle hit the nodule and how well it could tell if the nodule was cancer.
