Scientists use patient records to Re-Run major cancer trial
NCT ID NCT06675695
Summary
This study did not test a new treatment. Instead, researchers analyzed existing electronic health records from nearly 5,000 lung cancer patients to see if they could replicate the findings of a previous, controlled drug trial. The goal was to understand when and how real-world patient data can be trusted to answer important medical questions, which could help speed up future research. They specifically looked at records of patients taking certain targeted drugs for a specific type of advanced lung cancer.
