Doctors grow Patients' own Cancer-Fighting cells in new lung cancer trial
NCT ID NCT06473961
Summary
This early-stage study is testing a personalized cell therapy for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has stopped responding to standard treatments. Doctors will collect a patient's own tumor-fighting immune cells, grow large numbers of them in a lab, and then reinfuse them back into the patient. The main goals are to see if this approach is safe and if it can shrink tumors in these difficult-to-treat cases.
