Can less lung surgery after immunotherapy be just as safe?

NCT ID NCT07373899

First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at people with stage II to IIIB non-small cell lung cancer whose tumors shrank after immunotherapy. It compares two surgery approaches: removing only the shrunken tumor area versus removing the original larger area. The goal is to see if less surgery can preserve lung function without increasing the risk of cancer coming back. About 354 participants will choose which surgery group to join.
