New combo therapy aims to shrink lung tumors before surgery

NCT ID NCT05500092

First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding radiation to a standard pre-surgery treatment (immunotherapy plus chemotherapy) can better shrink tumors in people with stage IIA to IIIB non-small cell lung cancer. About 17 participants will receive either the standard combination or the combination plus targeted radiation before their surgery. The main goal is to see how many patients have no cancer cells left in the removed tissue.
