First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested a new treatment plan for people with stage II or III non-small cell lung cancer. First, the main tumor in the lung was treated with a precise, high-dose radiation (SBRT). Then, the lymph nodes in the chest received standard radiation and chemotherapy, followed by immunotherapy to help the immune system fight any remaining cancer. The goal was to see if this approach could keep the cancer from growing for at least a year. The study enrolled 61 participants.
