Precision radiation boost aims to stop lung cancer from returning

Summary

This study tests whether giving extra radiation to the most active parts of a lung tumor can reduce the chance of cancer returning in the chest. About 78 adults with advanced non-small cell lung cancer will receive either standard chemoradiotherapy or chemoradiotherapy with a targeted radiation boost. The goal is to see if this approach lowers local failure rates over two years.
