Scientists hunt for hidden clues in lung cancer tissue
NCT ID NCT00897117
Summary
This study collects leftover lung tissue from 4,000 patients undergoing surgery for early-stage lung cancer. Researchers analyze the tissue's RNA and protein patterns to look for biological markers that might predict how the cancer behaves. The goal is to improve understanding of lung cancer, which could help guide future treatments, but this study itself does not test any new therapies.
