Scientists hunt for lung cancer clues in Miners' samples
NCT ID NCT00340405
Summary
This study aimed to collect and store biological samples from nearly 10,000 tin miners in China who are at very high risk for lung cancer. The goal was to create a large bank of samples, like blood and sputum, to help researchers find early signs of the disease and understand what causes it. Participants were followed annually to see if they developed lung cancer, and their stored samples were used for future research.
