First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study collected and stored biological samples like sputum, blood, and urine from over 9,700 tin miners in China who are at high risk for lung cancer due to workplace exposures. The goal was to create a resource for researchers to find early markers of the disease and study genetic and environmental risk factors. No new treatments were tested; instead, the focus was on understanding and detecting lung cancer earlier.
