Soothing sounds may boost breastfeeding success in newborns
NCT ID NCT07537218
First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looked at whether playing lullabies (sung by a woman or man) or white noise during breastfeeding helps newborns feed better. 160 healthy, full-term babies were split into four groups: one heard a woman's lullaby, one a man's lullaby, one white noise, and one had no extra sound. Researchers measured breastfeeding success using a standard scale. The goal was to see if these sounds make breastfeeding easier for newborns.
