Could a simple gel make pushing during birth quicker and less painful?
NCT ID NCT07428317
Summary
This study is testing whether applying a special lubricant gel during the pushing stage of vaginal birth can help the baby come out faster. Researchers want to see if this reduces tearing for the mother and lowers the need for a surgical cut (episiotomy). They will compare two groups of about 80 women each: one group gets the gel, and the other receives standard care without it.
