Could a simple gel make pushing during birth quicker and safer?
NCT ID NCT07428317
Summary
This study is testing if applying a special lubricant gel during the pushing stage of childbirth can make delivery faster and gentler. Researchers will compare two groups of about 160 women in total: one group gets the gel, and the other receives standard care. The main goal is to see if the gel reduces pushing time, prevents tears, and decreases the need for surgical cuts.
