First seen Feb 12, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding lubiprostone to standard maintenance therapy can delay cancer recurrence in people with colorectal cancer that has spread to the lining of the abdomen (peritoneum). About 124 adults who have had surgery to remove visible tumors will be randomly assigned to receive lubiprostone plus maintenance therapy or maintenance therapy alone. The goal is to see if the combination improves the chance of staying cancer-free for at least one year.
