Less pressure, less pain? new study tests gentler laparoscopy for women

NCT ID NCT07221487

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether using lower gas pressure (8 mmHg) during gynecologic laparoscopic surgery reduces pain compared to standard pressure (15 mmHg). About 190 women having surgery for non-cancer conditions will report their pain levels at 1, 3, and 24 hours after the procedure. The goal is to find a simple way to improve recovery and comfort after common gynecologic surgeries.
