First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study aims to see if using a lower gas pressure (8 mmHg) inside the belly during gynecologic laparoscopic surgery leads to less pain after the procedure compared to the standard pressure (15 mmHg). About 190 women having surgery for non-cancer conditions will be randomly assigned to one of the two pressure levels. Participants will report their pain levels one hour, three hours, and 24 hours after surgery using a questionnaire.
