Summary
This study looked at whether using very small breaths (low tidal volume) during heart-lung bypass surgery can help protect the kidneys. Researchers measured kidney blood flow in 60 adults before and after surgery. The goal was to see if this breathing method could reduce the risk of kidney injury after the operation.
