Summary
This study looked at over 1,500 women with early-stage HER2-positive or triple-negative breast cancer who had no signs of cancer in their lymph nodes on ultrasound. Researchers wanted to see how often cancer actually spread to the lymph nodes after surgery. The goal is to find out if some patients can safely avoid a sentinel lymph node biopsy, a common but invasive procedure.
